Craig Levein has been served a two-match suspension by the Scottish FA - nine days after being sacked by St Johnstone.
The former Perth boss has been issued the ban after his comments about referee Ian Sneddon in the match between St Johnstone and Motherwell.
Levein had been furious over the decision to send off Jack Sanders for a second yellow as he claimed fourth official George Calder made the call rather than the referee.
The experienced manager also took a swipe at the Scottish FA when quizzed on whether he had discussed the red card with the match official.
He said: “Have I spoken to the ref? What’s the point? Seriously, what’s the point?
“After the Rangers debacle you know what’s going to happen. It’ll be swept under the carpet.”

As a result, Levein was scheduled to face a Hampden hearing on Thursday, September 26. However, in the meantime, he was relieved of his duties as St Johnstone manager.
Despite being sacked, the hearing has resulted in Levein being issued a two-match ban after admitting to breaching disciplinary rule 77.
Levein was sacked by St Johnstone on September 17 but has received confirmation of his ban on September 26.
The outcome verdict reads: "Admitted. Two match suspension applied as follows: One match immediate, and one match suspended until the end of Season 2026/27. Suspended sanction applicable only should Craig Levein further breach Disciplinary Rule 77 within this period.
"If unable to be served, this suspension will expire at the end of Season 2026/27."
