There could be a surprise return to action for Craig Halkett after his hamstring injury.
The Hearts centre back was expected to be out for four to six weeks after coming off during last month's 2-1 defeat to Celtic.
But Robbie Neilson has admitted that he could be available to play St Mirren on Saturday.
Halkett is back running and the Tynecastle boss says they will do everything possible to get him ready for the trip to Paisley.
Craig Gordon and Liam Boyce will return after sitting out Saturday's defeat against St Johnstone due to Covid.
The captain and top scorer were forced to self-isolate due to Covid which ruled them out of the Premiership clash in Perth.
But they’ll be available again this week and Robbie Neilson believes having the trip return to the spine of his team can help the Jambos end their current run of four league matches without a victory.
“We'll have Gordon back, we'll have Boyce back and we're hoping to have Halkett back,” he told the Edinburgh Evening New s.
“That's three players coming back in right down the spine of the team, which will make a difference.
“Halkett did some running over the weekend so we are going to push him as hard as we can and try to have him ready for Saturday.”
