Craig Gordon is ready to play into his 40s as the Hearts and Scotland keeper shot down talk of retiring any time soon.
The Jambos No.1 has bagged himself a PFA Player of the Year nomination after a successful campaign which sees his side clinch third in the Premiership with a Scottish Cup Final spot also secured.
Hearts are set to face Rangers at Hampden next month as they look to finish off a strong season and take some silverware back to Tyncastle.
Despite being a key part of Robbie Neilson' s squad, Gordon admits he is "getting on a bit".
The goalie celebrates his 40th birthday on Hogmanay this year, but believes performances outweigh age when it comes to continuing in his career.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gordon said: "I'm getting on a bit now but still feeling really good, putting in some good performances, so personally I've been happy with that.
"I just need to maintain that for the end of the season and hopefully maintain the Scotland spot and go into the huge games in the summer."
The Hearts and Scotland goalie is closing in on his 40th birthday, but isn't letting age get in the way of his career.
"I don't think it really matters what age, it is the performance levels and I've still managed to do that this season.
"Obviously it gets harder and next season it will get harder again the older I get but I keep doing everything I possibly can to put myself out there and keep myself in good shape.
"If I can continue to do that then I don't see why I can't play for a few more years yet."
The keeper praised his side's season, but is looking to finish off the campaign strong as he sets his sights on Scottish Cup glory.
He added: "It has been a really good season for us, but we still want to finish it off.
"We've got the cup final coming up and everybody is really looking towards that to make it [this season] something very special.
"I've been happy to contribute towards a good season, but we want to make it great and go on and try and win silverware at the end of it."
