This Morning star Craig Doyle has been making headlines ever since he took over from Dermot O'Leary's hosting duties last month.
The Irish TV presenter has long been on the scene, but in recent months, ITV viewers have become mesmerised by the dashing star, with his real age recently sending This Morning viewers into complete meltdown.
Craig has made quite the impression, alongside Josie Gibson, since taking over the famous This Morning couch as regular hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield enjoy their extended summer holidays, but who exactly is Craig Doyle?
Here, we take a look at Craig's career history, his 'real age', whirlwind marriage and epic love story after he admitted that he can't quite believe his luck after landing the ITV hosting role which every presenter has ever dreamed of.
Craig's career history
The Dublin-born presenter has been working in TV for quite some time now. The easy-on-the-eyes star is best known in Ireland for hosting an array of shows on Irish Network channel RTÉ, as well as his other work commitments with channels including BBC, ITV, and BT Sport.
The much-loved presenter even had his own chat show on RTÉ One back in 2010 called Tonight with Craig Doyle, as well as RTÉ Two’s Craig Doyle Live, which ran from 2011 to 2013.
After the show ended, Craig became the lead anchor for BT Sport’s rugby coverage, including Premiership and European Champions Cup games. The Irish presenter has ran the show since 2013, and he still continues to cover it now.
Craig also hosted their MotoGP programming from 2015 to 2018. And he's played a key part in covering the Six Nations Rugby, Wimbledon, Athens Olympics and Grandstand.
If that wasn't enough, Craig has even appeared on children’s programme Diggit on GMTV alongside Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates from 1998 to 2002.
Last year, the handsome star made his This Morning debut presenting the regular competition slots on the show. Since then, he has been a regular on the ITV morning show, and earlier this summer, Craig became a guest presenter alongside Alison Hammond while filling in for Dermot O'Leary. Then came his summer 2022 appearances with Josie and other host, former Saturdays singer Mollie King.
Craig's 'real age'
Earlier this month, This Morning fans were left in disbelief when they discovered Craig's real age. ITV fans couldn't quite believe their eyes when they found out that the Irish star is actually in his 50's.
After one curious This Morning fan googles Craig to find out more about the mysterious Dublin-born star, they took to Twitter to share their disbelief after discovering he's actually 51-years-old - despite looking much younger.
The surprised fan tweeted: "So I googled Craig. That man is never 51! #ThisMorning", while another quipped: "Idk who this fella is but Google tells me he’s 51! Gonna need your skincare regime please Mr Doyle #ThisMorning"
Meanwhile, another joked that Craig hadn't aged in 25-years. "What the hell is going on? How is this man in his 50's? He literally hasn't aged a day in 25 years. He's very easy on the eyes as well," they tweeted.
Craig's beautiful marriage
Craig married his longtime partner Doon, in December 2001, and the loved-up couple share four children together - Quin, Muireann, Milo and Elsa. The family live just outside Dublin, in County Wicklow.
Doon, 50, previously worked as an interior designer, but her current occupation is unknown. The lovebirds tied the knot in married on January 2021 after they dated for years, having first met before Doon attended University in Ireland.
The former interior designer was working part-time in a gym and it was here where she first laid eyes on her future husband. Speaking to RTÉ about how they met, Craig previously revealed: “I was home in Ireland just before I started on Tomorrow’s World and a mate of mine said to me ‘Doyler! Ya gotta meet this bird. I tried my heart out with her but it isn’t happening.’
"She was working in the gym part-time before she started college and I went along to the gym.
"I didn’t even have gym gear with me. I had a pair of shorts and a pair of shoes, I looked like a kn*b and I met her and I thought ‘holy god'. We were on our third date, the kissing date, and we were in Greystones and we had a drink and we were out walking and as I left, I shook her hand. Complete nerd.
"She looked at me like I was a real tw*t and said ‘that was the kissing date. Why didn’t you kiss me?’ I was scared. I fancied her you see.”
Despite Craig's initial awkwardness, he managed to steal Doon's heart, and the in January 2022, the lovebirds celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Craig's family life
Craig is a proud dad to four children. The This Morning presenter is a proud dad to youngest daughter, Elsa, who is now 12, 15-year-old son Milo, 17-year-old Muireann, and Quinn, 21.
Speaking to Belfast Telegraph about his children, Craig previously explained that he would love to have 'loads' of kids due to the fact he loves kids so much.
"I'd have a whole bundle if it were up to me - I love kids," he told. "Doon's full-time with them. She keeps the ship rolling - she's amazing. I go to work but I'm really only doing my hobby. She has a hell of a lot more patience than me."
