Craig Doyle has sent a sweet message to This Morning co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson. It comes ahead of Craig's two-week stint on the show which will see him take over from Dermot O'Leary.

The 52-year-old announced recently he would be presenting This Morning for two weeks from Monday, June 26. At the time Craig simply wrote: "Enjoying being part of the family."

And now, ahead of his appearance, the Irish presenter has shared his excitement of working with Holly and Josie again. Posting pictures of himself with the two of them, he told his Instagram followers: "No Sunday blues here!"

He then added: "Excited to spend the week with these two." Holly has been presenting This Morning Monday through to Thursday with various members of the This Morning family following Phillip Schofield's exit from the show after 20 years.

Phillip sensationally quit his role as This Morning host after reports of a rift with Holly on Saturday, May 20, but later admitted to an affair with a younger colleague and quit ITV completely on Friday, May 26.

At the time, Holly took two weeks off, returning to host the show alongside Josie Gibson who then "passed the baton" onto Dermot O'Leary. Craig will now host the show for the next two weeks.

This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV1 and ITX. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
