Crack dealer tried to say cash in bank was from flogging foot fetish porn

A struggling foot fetish porn star has landed himself in jail after he was bullied into selling cocaine.

Jack Lawrence, from Devon, claimed the thousands of pounds in his bank account came from flogging foot and muscle fetish videos, not drug dealing.

But the 30-year-old was caught red-handed midway through a cocaine deal outside his home in Paignton, Devon, BirminghamLive reported .

Police recovered over £8,000 in cash and £22,000 worth of cocaine from his bedroom as well as over a thousand pounds of designer Nike trainers he used in his porn fetish business.

Lawrence also had clearly recorded past drug deals on his iPhone which showed he had flogged about two kilograms of cocaine in the two months before his arrest in August 2020.

In his bank account he had around £19,000 of unexplained credits, of which £11,000 were thought to be from drug dealing and the rest from his porn business. The accounts also showed he had a gambling habit.

But Lawrence said he only ended up selling drugs after he was bullied into it by a gang after he ran up his own drug debts.

He claimed to have passed all profits up the line and most of his money came from selling fetish images.

He also said he began using cannabis when at school in Wolverhampton and by his late teens was using cocaine.

Then he smoked crack cocaine and fell into debt to a gang who he said attacked him repeatedly, threatened his family and forced him into selling.

Lawrence admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and was jailed for seven years, two months and 12 days for his crimes by Recorder Richard Stead at Exeter Crown Court.

He told the defendant: “It is clear that by virtue of your own drug use, some extremely poor decision-making led you to the position you are now in.”

Mr Herc Ashworth, prosecuting, said Lawrence was arrested while selling drugs from his car which was parked outside his flat in Paignton, where police recovered 264 grams of cocaine, scales, wraps, and £8,010 cash.

When he heard about the discoveries over a police radio he said: “I’m f***ed f***ed.”

Lawrence claimed dealer lists had been dictated to him and he was under orders to pass them on to others in the gang.

Miss Bathsheba Cassel, defending, said Lawrence has worked to overcome his own drug habit during two months on remand in prison and is determined to make a new life for himself when he is released.
