Cowbridge Pride 2023 dates, venue, events and how to get tickets to Ian 'H' Watkins' festival

Fronted by Steps star Ian 'H' Watkins, with support from the Welsh Government, Pride is returning to Cowbridge for the second year this June with a host of different events to enjoy across the town.

Cowbridge Pride is an all-inclusive event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Cowbridge and The Vale of Glamorgan. There are six main events taking place from Monday, June 19 to Saturday, June 24.

The first is the raising of the LGBTQ+ flag, at Cowbridge Town Hall. The event starts at 11am on Monday, June 19 and is free to attend. On Wednesday, June 21 is the Iris Prize Film Festival also taking place at Cowbridge Town Hall. The event is free to attend but RSVP/tickets are required, email cowbridgepridefilmfestival@proton.me for more information and tickets.

There is the LGBTQ+A at Cowbridge Town Hall on Thursday, June 22. Kicking off at 7pm the event is free to attend. The Cowbridge Pride Gala is taking place at The Bear Hotel from 6pm to 12pm on Friday, June 23. Tickets are £70 and email cowbridgepridegala@hotm for more information and tickets.

Two events are running on Saturday, June 24 with the first being the first ever Cowbridge Pride Parade which leaves Cowbridge Fire Station. Ian said: “I am so excited for the parade. We have people from all walks of life and different backgrounds coming together. The entire town has embraced the celebrations with open arms. There is a real sense of community, diversity, and acceptance. Come and join us - everybody is welcome.”

The meeting time is 12pm and to confirm attendance email cowbridgeprideparade@hotmail.com and then is it the Pride Disco at The Horse & Groom. The Pride Disco kicks off at 7pm and tickets are £15, email keyyes@gmail.com to book your tickets. This year's Cowbridge Pride will be the second year of the town celebrating after H launched the Pride event in 2022.
