Cowboys to Work Out Recently Reinstated Ex-Steelers, Raiders WR Martavis Bryant, per Report

Former Steelers and Raiders wide receiver Martavis Bryant is attempting to make an NFL comeback, and it appears the Cowboys are willing to give him a look. Dallas will bring Bryant in for a workout on Tuesday after the wideout, who hasn’t played since 2018, was reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

Bryant was suspended multiple times throughout his NFL career for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, including for the entire 2016 season. His reinstatement comes after roughly five years, as he received a 2018 "indefinite" suspension for violating the conditions of his previous reinstatement.

Bryant played in 44 games over the span of four seasons from 2014 to 2018, three with Pittsburgh and one with the then-Oakland Raiders. He spent one year with the Steelers following his year-long suspension in 2017 before landing with the Raiders in 2018.

During Bryant's time in Pittsburgh, he totaled 145 receptions for 2,183 yards and 17 touchdowns. The former Clemson wideout's two best seasons came during his rookie and sophomore campaigns after being selected in the fourth-round of the 2014 NFL draft. Bryant caught 26 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games as a rookie and followed that up by totaling 50 receptions for 765 yards and six scores in his second year.
