Forward Luciano Leilua will add starch to Shane Flanagan's St George Illawarra pack after sealing a return to the club on a three-year deal.
Leilua was released by the North Queensland Cowboys on Friday after being stood down earlier this month after pleading guilty to a drink-driving offence.
The Dragons later announced the Samoan international's signing until the end of 2026.
Leilua, 27, began his NRL career at the Dragons before stints at Wests Tigers and the Cowboys.
"We're delighted to bring Luciano back to the Dragons, where he started his career," Dragons coach Shane Flanagan said.
"As a powerful and skilful edge forward, he will make our roster stronger as we head into the season."
The Dragons have also extended Corey Allan for another year until the end of 2025, after a pre-season knee injury prematurely ended his first year in Wollongong.
"His positive attitude and commitment to rehabilitation have convinced us to extend his contract," Flanagan said.
"We look forward to his return to the field in 2025."
