Cowboys Kicker Brandon Aubrey Makes NFL History in Prime-Time Rout Of Eagles

A glorious night for the Cowboys featured an impressive piece of NFL history on Sunday courtesy of another standout showing by rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey.

With makes of 60, 59, 50 and 45 yards, Aubrey continued the red-hot start to his career during the the Cowboys’s 33–13 win over the rival Eagles as he became the first kicker to convert their first 30 field goals.

Aubrey, a former USFL player and 2017 MLS draft pick, also added his name to the record books by becoming the first kicker to convert two FGs from 59-plus yards out in the same game.

A free-agent signing back in July, Aubrey has been on a mission since winning the starting job in training camp. On the season, the 28-year-old rookie has converted 39 of his 42 extra point attempts to go along with his perfect streak.

As Dallas looks to claim the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the club figures to receive a big boost on special teams from Aubrey’s continued excellence, with efforts like Sunday night’s providing a crucial shot of momentum:
