Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson made a key 14-yard reception to set up first-and-goal late in the third quarter of his team’s Thursday Night Football matchup against Seattle and immediately hopped to his feet and jawed at Seahawks safety Jamal Adams.
The scene was heated, and Amazon Prime commentator Al Michaels referred to the tense interaction as “chippy.”
So what sparked the run-in?
“I was just letting him know I got the first down. Talk all you want,” Ferguson said.
Fast forward to late in the fourth quarter, when Ferguson caught a 12-yard touchdown pass to put the Cowboys ahead for good on their way to a 41–35 victory. Ferguson made sure to give Adams a good long stare before emphatically spiking the ball in celebration of his big play.

He’d later gab the go-ahead touchdown over … *checks notes*… Jamal Adams.

It’s safe to say Ferguson was feeling himself during his big performance. The rookie from Wisconsin finished with six receptions for 77 yards and that go-ahead touchdown in as Dallas improved to 9–3 on the season.
The Cowboys host the Eagles (10–1) on Sunday Night Football on Dec. 10 for what’s setting up to be a crucial NFC East matchup.
