The NFL is having a big night Thursday in Los Angeles. Players and coaches are being honored for their efforts this season. And the Hall of Fame Class of 2022 will be announced.
On a red carpet pre-show, the AP Award for the best Defensive Coach of the Year was announced.
It went to the Dallas Cowboys’ Dan Quinn, who turned a porous defense into a fierce one.

The Cowboys won the NFC East and a large part of their success was due to the work Quinn did in fixing a broken defensive unit.
The Cowboys’ offense finished the season ranked first in the NFL and led the league with 34 takeaways.
