New South Wales
Another seven deaths were recorded in the state.
There are 998 COVID cases in hospital, with 39 of those in intensive care.
There were 14,034 new cases.
The ACT
Three more people have died with COVID-19.
ACT Health confirmed that one man in his 70s, one man in his 80s and a woman in her 80s had all died with COVID-19.
Health authorities said two of the deaths occurred within the 24-hour reporting period, but one death occurred in February.
There are 31 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including one person in intensive care who is being ventilated.
The ACT recorded another 791 new cases.
Victoria
Victoria has recorded 10 COVID deaths.
The number of people in hospital with the virus has remained stable at 185, down slightly from 188 patients on Thursday.
Of those in hospital, 27 are in intensive care, with three patients on ventilators.
There were 6,811 new infections, with 46,263 active cases in the state.
Tasmania
No further deaths were recorded.
There are 16 COVID cases in hospital, but Tasmania's Department of Health says eight of those aren't being treated for unrelated medical conditions.
Of those in hospital, four are in intensive care.
There were 1,129 new cases reported in the state today.
Queensland
There were eight deaths.
Of the 250 cases in hospital, 16 are in intensive care.
There are 4,327 new cases.
South Australia
South Australia has recorded 2,503 new cases and one COVID-linked death, a man aged in his 70s.
Case numbers have hovered around 2,500 for the past few days and active cases are now at 22,054, however the number of people in hospital has continued to decrease and now sits at 88.
There are 10 people in intensive care and two requiring a ventilator.
The Northern Territory
The Northern Territory Health Department has reported the death of a remote community resident in his 60s from COVID-19.
There are currently 29 people in Territory hospitals with COVID-19, a drop on the 33 in hospital on Thursday, and of those, six patients are requiring oxygen and one is in ICU.
A total of 273 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Territory in the 24 hours up to 8pm on Thursday – a decrease on the 326 cases reported the previous day – including 241 detected from rapid antigen tests.
Western Australia
The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Western Australia has surpassed 20,000 for the first time after the state recorded 5,005 new infections overnight.
The number of people in hospital also continues to rise, with 92 people now being treated, but the state's ICU rates have remained steady at three.
The latest positive results were split between 2,866 PCR tests and 2,139 self-reported rapid antigen tests.
