NSW
NSW has recorded nine COVID deaths in the 24 hours to 4pm yesterday.
There are 1,035 new cases in hospital, 43 of those are in ICU.
The state recorded 11,338 new cases.
Victoria
The state reported 23 deaths and 7,093 new infections, taking the total number of active cases to 41,660.
There are 262 COVID-19 patients in Victorian hospitals, which is similar to Wednesday's figure of 264.
Of those in hospital, 33 are in intensive care and five are on ventilators.
Almost 60 per cent of Victorian adults have now received three vaccine doses and 94 per cent of those aged 12 and older have received at least two.
Queensland
The state has recorded six COVID deaths in the past 24 hours.
There were 6,479 new cases, taking active cases to 30,126, with 315 people in hospital and 26 of those in ICU.
Western Australia
One person has died and there were 2,420 new local cases to 8pm last night. There were three travel-related cases recorded in the state.
The figures come as WA’s hard border was removed overnight.
There are now 8,419 active cases in the state, including 22 in hospital.
A total of 843 of today's cases were reported from rapid antigen tests.
ACT
The ACT has recorded 690 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday – down from 1,053 new infections announced yesterday.
There are 39 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including two patients in intensive care.
Almost four in five (78 per cent) of Canberra children aged five to 11 have received a vaccine dose and more than 68 per cent of Canberrans aged 16 and older have received their booster.
SA
South Australia has reported five COVID-related deaths, and 2,307 new cases.
The deaths include a man and a woman in their 40s, a woman in her 60s, a man in his 70s and a man in his 90s.
There are 104 people in hospital, with nine in intensive care units. One person is on a ventilator.
There are now 18,150 active cases in the state.
NT
The Northern Territory has recorded three more deaths from COVID-19 in the latest reporting period.
Twenty-six people have now died from the virus in the NT since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Territory recorded 559 new cases, with 48 in hospital, 10 requiring oxygen and two in intensive care.
The NT-wide indoor mask mandate will end on Monday, however it will remain in high-risk areas, including the Big Rivers region, which recorded 45 new cases.
