On Monday (January 24), the Scottish Government made an announcement regarding travel rules for those who are not vaccinated as well as those who are fully vaccinated.
The rule change means that Scottish travellers who are fully jabbed will no longer have to take a lateral flow test upon entry to the UK however they must complete a Passenger Locator Form.
The rules are slightly different for those who are not fully vaccinated with the mandatory self-isolation period after arriving home now being lifted.
The Foreign Office has issued a major update for anyone wanting to travel to Spain from the UK.
At present, if you're fully vaccinated you can enter the Spanish country without needing to test or quarantine regardless of your reason for travel however your vaccination status must meet the Spanish authorities' validity period requirements.
This means that from February 1, at least 14 days must have passed since being fully vaccinated (with a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine) before arrival in Spain.
In addition, there is now a time-limit in place and it could affect when you can travel, reports Liverpool Echo.
Tourists are now required to have had the booster jag if your final dose of the vaccine was more than 270 days ago meaning if you have had the single or double-dose vaccine within the nine month period prior to travelling, a booster is not required for travel.
The Foreign Office said: "Your date(s) of vaccination must be specified and your final dose must have been administered within 270 days prior to travel to Spain.
"If you completed your vaccination (with both doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine) more than 270 days prior to travel to Spain, you must be able to show proof of having received a booster jab."
You must show valid proof of being fully vaccinated to enter Spain from the UK if travelling for tourism purposes.
Children under the age of 12 years old do not need to show proof of being fully vaccinated on entry to Spain.
