An area in the Liverpool City Region has recorded a massive jump in Covid infections.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Sefton had 1,187 infections in the week ending March 7 - that's 596 more positive tests than the previous week.
This represents a week-on-week percentage change rise of 100.8%.

Every area of the city region had a rise in infections in the week ending March 7. The rises were 53% in Liverpool; 46% in Halton; 52% in St Helens; 55% in Wirral; and 91% in Knowsley.
In the Liverpool City Region there was a week-on-week percentage change figure rise of 63%.
Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and West Lancashire all saw rises increase in Covid rises.
In England as a whole, there was a rise of 45% in positive tests.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,983 cases in the week ending March 7, which is 684 more cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rise by 53%.
The latest infection rate was 396.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 1,425 cases in the week ending March 7, which is 505 more cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rise by 55%.
The latest infection rate was 439.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 493 positive tests over the last week - that's 155 more cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure rise by 46% in Halton in the week ending March 7.
The latest infection rate is 479.9 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 608 cases in the week ending March 7, which is 209 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 335.7 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rise by 52%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 602 cases in the week ending March 7, which is 287 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 394.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rise by 91%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 1,187 cases in the week ending March 7, which is a 596 more cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 430.2 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases rise by 100.8% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 6,298 positive tests over in the week ending March 7, which is 2,436 more cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change rise by 63%. The latest infection rate is 369.87 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 797 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending March 7, which is 291 more cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure rise by 58%. There was an infection rate of 380.62 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 1,557 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending March 7, which is 531 more cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 452.85 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage rise by 52% in cases.
England
In the week ending March 7, England recorded 241,712 coronavirus cases, which is 75,339 more cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage rise of 45% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 427.43 per 100,000 people.
