All areas of the Liverpool City Region saw Covid infections fall by at least a fifth.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region saw 3,848 infections in the seven days ending February 26 - that's 1,294 fewer positive tests than the previous week.
This meant Liverpool City Region's week-on-week percentage change figure was a drop of 25%.

Each local government area of the city region saw drops in infections. The falls were: 39% in Knowsley; 21% in Liverpool; 28% in Halton; 30% in St Helens; 19% in Sefton; and 26% in Wirral.
West Lancashire, Warrington, and Cheshire West and Chester all saw falls in positive Covid tests in the week ending February 26.
There was a 28% drop in positive tests in England.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,288 cases in the week ending February 26, which is 335 fewer cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 21%.
The latest infection rate was 257.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 837 cases in the week ending February 26, which is 288 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 26%.
The latest infection rate was 258.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 338 positive tests over the last week - that's 130 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 28% in Halton in the week ending February 26.
The latest infection rate is 260.5 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 378 cases in the week ending February 26, which is 163 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 208.7 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 30%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 330 cases in the week ending February 26, which is 215 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 216.5 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 39%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 677 cases in the week ending February 26, which is a 163 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 245.4 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 19% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 3,848 positive tests over in the week ending February 26, which is 1,294 fewer cases than in the previous week.

Warrington
There were 519 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 26, which is 203 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 28%. There was an infection rate of 247.85 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 279 coronavirus cases in the week ending February 26, which is 41 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 13%. The infection rate was 243.68 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 954 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 26, which is 428 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 277.47 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage fell by 31% in cases.
England
In the week ending February 26, England recorded 173,300 coronavirus cases, which is 65,670 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage drop of 28% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 306.45 per 100,000 people.
