Another 6,427 Covid cases have been diagnosed in Scotland – with a further 18 people dead having tested positive for the disease.
Figures have been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 1,060 patients with the disease being treated in hospital which is a rise of nine from yesterday's reported figure. There are currently 12 people being treated in ICUs.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 314. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 92,753 positive tests in the region and 1,355,657 million across Scotland.
Of the new cases reported, 112 were in South Ayrshire, 107 attributed to North Ayrshire and 106 in East Ayrshire.
As a result of the historical update in terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, the Shetland Islands has the highest rate in the country – at 2,120.7 as of Monday, February 21.
The Orkney Islands has the second-highest infection rate at 1,513.4 while Highland is third with 900.9.
In terms of Ayrshire's thee local authorities, East Ayrshire has the highest rate of 697.4; South Ayrshire's rate stands at 634.0 while North Ayrshire's is 619.0.
A total of 14 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 784.8.

Those 18 new deaths mean 10,614 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 13,157 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, February 13 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 160,610 as of last night and 181,424 with Covid mentioned on the death certificate.
There are 91 patients with the disease being treated in Ayrshire hospitals, up two on yesterday, and fewer than five people in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 4,433,160 people have received one dose of a Covid vaccine; 4,152,325 are double jabbed and 3,404,119 people have received a third dose/booster.
