Every area of Merseyside has seen covid infection rates drop by at least a fifth.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, up until the week ending April 3, the biggest recorded fall in the Liverpool City Region was in Wirral, where the percentage change week on week figure fell by nearly 30%.

There were 2,285 cases on the Wirral in the week ending April 3, which is 948 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 29%.
The falls in the rest of the LCR were: 28% in Knowsley; 24% in Liverpool; 22% in Halton; 28% in St Helens; and, 29% in Sefton.
England logged a fall of 26% in infections in the week ending April 3.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 2,779 cases in the week ending April 3, which is 884 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 24%. The latest infection rate was 555.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 2,285 cases in the week ending April 3, which is 948 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 29%. The latest infection rate was 704.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 923 positive tests over the last week - that's 258 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 22% in Halton in the week ending April 3. The latest infection rate is 711.3 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 1,130 cases in the week ending April 3, which is 447 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 624.0 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 28%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 923 cases in the week ending April 3, which is 353 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 605.4 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure went down by 28%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 1,719 cases in the week ending April 3, which is a 686 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 623.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases fell by 29% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 9,759 positive tests over in the week ending April 3, which is 3,576 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change went down by 27%. The latest infection rate is 573.13 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 1,562 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 3, which is 345 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure went down by 18%. There was an infection rate of 745.95 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 2,642 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 3, which is 879 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 768.42 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage went down by 25% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 641 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 3, which is 283 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 559.84 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage went down by 31% in cases.
England
In the week ending April 3, England recorded 360,487 coronavirus cases, which is 126,882 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. There was a week-on-week percentage fall of 26% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 637.47 per 100,000 people.
