Victoria
There were 26 deaths recorded today.
There are 245 COVID cases in hospital, with 28 of those in intensive care.
Seven people are on ventilators.
NSW
The state has recorded two more deaths.
There are 1,000 COVID cases in hospital, with 42 of those in intensive care.
Tasmania
There are four COVID-19 patients in intensive care in Tasmania, up from three yesterday, and 937 new cases in the latest reporting period.
There are no new deaths.
Fourteen people with COVID-19 are in hospital, with 10 of those patients being treated specifically for the virus, up from yesterday.
Active cases in the state are now up to 5,432.
From midnight tonight, masks will no longer need to be worn in retail settings in Tasmania.
And from 5pm next Friday, masks will no longer be required in restaurants and cafes, large outdoor events and offices.
Staff in retail and hospitality will need to continue wearing masks.
ACT
There are 35 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including two patients in intensive care and one requiring ventilation.
There are no new deaths.
The ACT has recorded 794 new cases.
SA
Another two people have died with COVID-19 in South Australia, including a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s.
Another 2,047 people have tested positive for the virus.
There are 106 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including nine in intensive care.
There are 18,363 active COVID cases in SA.
Queensland
Seven deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours in Queensland and the state has recorded 5,446 new COVID-19 cases.
There are 284 people in hospital, 25 in intensive care.
There are 30,377 total cases in the state.
