New workplace guidance has been published by the Government to reflect the easement of most Covid-19 restrictions.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin announced the easement of virtually all Covid rules 10 days ago - including the work from home order.
The new Transitional Protocol removes many requirements on businesses but urges good practices be maintained.
The two metre social distancing rule, the pods of six requirement and the need to collect contact details of people on the premises have all been removed.
Face masks are only required in healthcare, transport, retail and public offices settings. Those serving food and drink are also required to wear a face mask.
The document says wearing face masks is still good practice - especially for those sharing work vehicles.
The new protocols asks employers to maintain good infection controls and keep a Covid response plan in place as well as taking into account the needs of high risk workers.
Employers are also advised to develop their long-term plans for remote and blended work.
