Courteney Cox 'unimpressed' on John Bishop Show after 'bored' Graham Norton chat

ITV viewers have insisted that Courteney Cox appeared to be rather 'unimpressed' with the constant Friends references during her appearance on The John Bishop Show on Saturday night.

The Monica Geller actress, 57, is best known for her iconic role in the nineties sitcom, but during her appearance on the ITV show, she seemed 'past caring about' her much-loved character.

Throughout his chat with the Hollywood star, John Bishop quizzed Courteney on the cult sitcom as he sprinkled in some of Monica's most iconic catch-phrases and storylines.

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Courteney 'wasn't giving much back' in response to the comedian as she seemingly dismissed his jibes and jokes.

Taking to Twitter, ITV viewers shared their reaction with some claiming that the actress 'could have made more of an effort'.

"Watching Courteney Cox and she seems so unimpressed. She's passed caring about Monica," one viewer tweeted.

"Monica Geller could have made more of an effort," someone else mocked.

"Jheeeze! Courteney Cox really isn't giving much back to John here. This is awkward," another echoed.

Meanwhile, a fourth argued: "Maybe she's just sick of the constant Friends references. She's been in a lot more movies and TV shows. It must get annoying always being asked about that one show."

"F irst she's bored on Graham Norton and now this. I think it's just a culture thing - maybe she's not as enthusiastic as us Brits," someone else suggested.

Throughout the interview, Courteney revealed that she would love to play a part in Downton Abbey.

The actress appeared on The John Bishop Show alongside British actor Hugh Bonneville as the pair reprised their beloved Friends and Downton Abbey roles for a sketch, which saw Lord Grantham asking Monica Geller to clean Downton.

"I want to be in Downton. I think I'd like to be a posh one - they've got better frocks. I wouldn't want to play another competitive neat freak," the actress joked.

Courteney's appearance on the ITV show comes after she drew attention while featuring on the Graham Norton show on Friday night as viewers thought she looked bored out of her mind.

The Friends star was a guest on the show alongside British stars Taron Egerton and Minnie Driver and Hollywood stars Uma Thurman and Ariana DeBose.

Fresh from the current success of the fifth Scream film, Courteney was on the show to promote her new comedy-horror series called Shining Veil.

Dressed all in black and with her hair loose around her shoulders, Courteney’s serene demeanour left many viewers feeling like she looked disengaged by the conversations on the panel.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Courteney Cox looks bored. Such a shame #GrahamNortonShow."

Another tweeted: "#Courteneycox looks like she wants to be somewhere else."

And a further critic tweeted: “He really is superb at managing the guests. It was a tough one tonight, too - Courteney Cox looked like she wasn’t present at all, almost dissociated. Her eyes looked glazed over, which isn’t how she used to come across."

The John Bishop Show continues next Saturday at 9.35pm on ITV and ITV Hub
