Courteney Cox's ridiculously organised kitchen inspired by her Friends character Monica

It seems as though Courteney Cox didn't have to act all that much on Friends when she played neat freak Monica Geller.

Courteney starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry in the sitcom as twenty-somethings struggling with life and love in New York City.

The actress, 56, took to social media to share her ridiculously organised kitchen and it's safe to say Monica would have been proud.

The star - who starred on the hit sitcom from 1994 until 2004 - took part in a challenge where fans declare they are a 'Monica' without actually saying they are, and Courteney knocked it out of the park.

Showing off her impressively put-together kitchen, the star proved that she learned a thing or two from Monica during her decade-long stint on the show.

The video shows Courteney telling her fans, "tell me you're a Monica without telling me you're a Monica," before saying, "I'll go first".

She then panned the camera onto her spotless cutlery display, before showing off her cupboard full of labeled spice jars and a stocked pantry.

She then said her character's famous line, "I know!"

The clip comes just days after filming wrapped for the highly anticipated Friends reunion that's set to air later this year.

Courteney joined her five co-stars in Los Angeles to film the reunion.

The special was binned in 2020 – despite producers doing everything they can to make it work.

But die-hard fans who watched the famous six blossom on screen breathed a collective sigh of relief as the stars last week met up to film the reunion.

Just one week before the stars jetted to LA to film the special, David Schwimmer - who played Monica's brother Ross in the series - revealed some new details about what fans can expect from the reunion episode.

Asked if he will be Ross or David in the reunion, he said: "I’ll be David. Nothing is scripted and we are not in character.

"We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something."

David added jokingly: "I should have genned up on old episodes, but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to catch up on the 236 shows. I guess I need to watch a lot over the next five days!"

The non-scripted episode, tentatively titled The One Where They Got Back Together, has been hit by delays due to the coronavirus outbreak since it was free announced back in November 2019 – and was originally planned to air in May 2020 for the launch of HBO Max.
