Courteney Cox recalls paranormal experience at her 'haunted' home

Courteney Cox has revealed the moment she had a paranormal experience at her "haunted" home and claims the UK is particularly haunted due to its history.

The Friends star, 57, has opened up on the experience while she was promoting her new comedy horror series Shining Vale.

Her new series focuses on a family who moves to a small town in a bid to save their marriage and move into a house in which terrible atrocities have occurred.

Courteney's character Pat becomes possessed by the ghost of the previous owner, but her family think she's depressed.

Speaking to ET, the actress confessed she lived in a house that was "absolutely haunted".

She told the presenter: "I didn't believe it at first until a situation happened and there was no way not to believe it as the UPS saw someone behind me and I'd heard enough."

She went on to describe having another experience "the other night" and said: "I'm in England. How many people are old that die here. I'm in the stomping ground for ghosts!"

The actress was in the country with longtime partner, musician Johnny McDaid to present an award at the BRIT Awards.

Courteney later confessed that her new role is "one of her favourite jobs for sure" and said she is getting to go through so many things that women go through.

Courteney had appeared on a number of UK chat shows last week, with fans quick to point out she didn't seem to be enjoying her discussions.

Following on from her "bored" appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the actress who starred as Monica Geller on the iconic sitcom Friends seemed to fans to be "unimpressed" by John Bishop's line of questioning.

Throughout his chat with the Hollywood star, the Scouse comedian quizzed his guest on the cult show as he sprinkled in some of Monica's most iconic catch-phrases and storylines.

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Courteney "wasn't giving much back" in response to the presenter as she seemingly dismissed his jibes and jokes.

Taking to Twitter, viewers of the ITV show shared their reaction and some claimed Courteney "could have made more of an effort".

One fan wrote: "Watching Courteney Cox and she seems so unimpressed. She's passed caring about Monica.

Another tweeted: "Monica Geller could have made more of an effort."
