Coupon queen shares 10 ways to save money and bag free items from KFC and Aldi

A coupon queen appeared on This Morning today to help people save money and bag free items.

Holly Smith joined the ITV show's hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on the ITV mid-morning show today, where they discussed the cost of living crisis and how people could save money and also grab a coupon for some free items too.

She started by explaining how she managed to use coupons to do huge shops for free and how her hugely popular Facebook couponing group has helped many people bag a freebie or save a huge amount of money at the checkout.

As part of the segment, she revealed 10 of her favourite tips to save money as well as a number of free items or money-off vouchers that can be bagged from top chains including LEGO, Aldi, H&M and KFC.

She began by discussing a product called the Eco-Egg, which is good to be used for 70 washes and stops the need for people to buy fabric conditioner or detergent. Holly revealed she had calculated that in the last couple of years, it had personally saved her over £500. The egg was incredibly popular with fans and many rushed to order it online.

Holly also revealed a number of special coupons on offer, including a full size pack of nappies for free through NetMums as well as a free weaning pack from Ella's Kitchen and a football activity pack for kids from McDonalds.

She also revealed that people could get a LEGO magazine free, whilst there was also a free side from KFC on offer. Holly told viewers how they could save £5 on a £25 spend at H&M by bringing in old clothes to be recycled.

Holly also promoted a water saving box, which will help people to reduce water and cut their water bill and she also recommended the use of food waste apps such as Too Good To Go and Ovio, which allows people to pick up restaurant meals for cheap prices at the end of the day to save the food from going to waste.
