Couple with 91 piercings and tattoos say people think they're from HELL

A body modification obsessed couple have revealed their latest achievement – holding the Guinness World Record for “most body modifications" as a married couple for nearly 10 years.

Victor Hugo Peralta regularly hits the headlines due to his controversial look, where he has the Devil’s “666” carved into his scalp, alongside £400 metal horns implanted into his skull.

At aged 13, he recalls getting his first inking with the word f**k across the fingers on his left hand and since then, he’s continued with his obsession – claiming over 95% of his body is inked.

Victor, 52, hopes to emulate a “demon” with his modifications and while not everyone agrees with his journey, there’s one lady who has supported him every step of the way.

Gabriela, 52, who is also body modification obsessed, married the showman 15 years ago and in total, the pair have a combined 91 inkings and modifications between them.

In 2014, they earned an official Guinness World Record for "most body modifications" (married couple) with 84 and now, they’ve renewed their title for their upcoming 10 year anniversary.

“When we received the title, I felt immense emotion and pride at being awarded for my choice of life,” Gabriela, from Argentina, said.

“I’ve always been faithful to what I like and the image I want to have, respecting my inner being, which has been closely linked to art.

“Growing up in my grandparent’s house, I breathed art 24 hours a day.

“My grandfather was a musician and a photographer, with my grandmother a painter.

“I grew up with art all around me.”

Victor said: “My father loved drawing and thanks to him, I adopted that passion for drawing and later grew up tattooing people.

“Then, the modifications arrived and one day Guinness found us and awarded us for this passion.

“I’m so happy and proud to be awarded with my wife for our life itself.”

Victor, who is from Uruguay, has been tattooing others for over 28 years in his own studio, Querubin Tattoo Studio, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Between them, they estimate to have spent thousands of pounds on their modifications, which include scarifications, pointed ears and forked tongues – but claim most of their work has been gifts from friends.

Previously, they revealed how people online had branded them “Cherubs from hell” – but now, they’ve learned to deal with the trolls and hope to educate people on their mission.

Victor added: “People react in different ways: surprise, curiosity and fear.

“We’re often congratulated for our courage and for being daring, both with the pain threshold and tolerance for it.

“But also because we’re confronting society by choosing a lifestyle that’s so different to other people without having any type of concerns.

“We live it naturally and without prejudice – we simply are and we live as we want.

“We’re very happy and if someone questions us or our way of living, we are always willing to talk or exchange opinions, as long as everything is respectful.”
