Couple with 37-year age gap reveal new baby plan - and unconventional parenting style

A man has been forced to defend his age-gap relationship after cruel trolls branded his wife a "wrinkly granny". Quran McCain, 25, married 62-year-old Cheryl McGregor after meeting her when working in a fast-food restaurant.

He shared their desire to start a family together, having now turned to a surrogate to carry their child. "Cheryl has seven children and 17 grandchildren already but we feel we deserve children of our own," said Quran. "We have tried for children but with age, we feel surrogacy or adoption would be a better option."

But after opening up about their relationship on TikTok, Quran and Cheryl were inundated with negative comments.

In one of his most recent videos, Quran answered the question 'why do you go so hard for someone who is 37 years older than you?" with a simple "she completes me".

In response, one user said: "That age gap is older than me and my mum."

Another user added: "You and your grandma have such a good relationship."

A third user said: "They give 'years don't matter'... yes it does."

One more user added: "Wear glasses if you need help."

The couple, from Georgia, America, met when Quran was just 15-years-old and working at his future step-son's fast food restaurant.

He sparked up a romantic relationship with Cheryl in 2020 after working alongside her in the store.

After popping the question in July 2021, the pair eloped in Tennessee just two months later, with only two friends at their ceremony.

Quran and Cheryl say they're prepared for an unconventional parenting style, with Cheryl being much older.

"We understand that I may not be there for as long as Quran is but I have faith in him," said Cheryl.

"If I am not here he can do it. He's going to be a great father, he’s a responsible adult.

"I had every bit of faith that he could raise our child and do it very well.

"Our family is also very supportive of our decision to have children, at first they were hesitant for the same reasons.

"However, now five of my children have come to accept the idea and my mother-in-law and I make videos together."
