Couple injured in elephant attack at Nelliyampathy

A newly married couple were injured in an elephant attack at Nelliyampathy on Thursday. Amrita, 24, and her husband Arjun, 30, from Alathur were charged by an elephant near Karapara hanging bridge when they were travelling on a motorcycle. Amrita suffered a spinal injury. They were rushed to hospital by the local people.
