A couple have been filmed breaking into the wrong person's house in what TikTok viewers are calling an "embarrassing moment". On the popular video sharing platform, a clip of the ordeal was uploaded to an account called Laugh Hard, with more than 11.6 million views.
The caption of one and a half minute-long video reads: "At least he was polite after noticing he was wrong. What would you have done?". Thousands of people have commented on the clip, especially regarding to the end of the TikTok, which many viewers have sympathised with.
The footage begins with a loud noise, followed by the scene of a man standing at the front door that has just been barged into. "What the f***?", the resident can be heard saying, before adding: "This is not the right house, this is not the right house."
The man in the doorway then angrily asks: "Where is he?" The homeowner replies: "Who are you looking for?" A woman then emerges from the door frame to say: "Let’s go, the cops will handle it."
The resident goes on to quiz the pair on who exactly they're look for, to which the women tells him: "Your brother." However, the homeowner declares he does not have a brother, which leads the woman to then turn to man and say they might be at the wrong address.
As the video continues, it comes to light that the man and woman were after a man they claim hit their daughter with a car. While the resident explains he's been inside "the entire time", the couple start to apologise for breaking into the wrong house.
The dad can later be heard saying: "I’ll pay for this, I'm sorry." And the woman adds: "They said that he gave this address. I am so sorry. He ran my daughter over."
The father goes on to take cash out of his wallet and place it on the sofa. The homeowner however urges the dad to "stay away", and tells him he "doesn’t want any money."
Reacting to the bizarre situation, Emifbaby commented: "This is the greatest thing I have ever seen." Star wrote: "That’s so embarrassing for them."
