One woman has revealed how she earns a whopping $9,500 (€8,585) a month renting out her house to holiday goers, all the while she lives in her driveway.
Washingon native Alexi McKinley revealed that she opens up her house to Airbnb customers for half of the month to earn some extra cash.
Back in January 2020, the 26-year-old became cash-strapped after she headed on maternity leave from her role as a corporate sales manager for a Marriott hotel.

Her husband was also forced to scale back his construction and tractor-services company around this time.
As a result, the couple decided to take a risk after they were told about an Alaskan family that made a staggering $47,100 (€42,8430) after their house was listed during the summer months.
Speaking to Business Insider, Alexi said: "We thought that sounded like crazy money, and we were in desperate need of income.
"It was the middle of the pandemic and the future was very uncertain. Our goal was to pay our mortgage every month with Airbnb."
The couple then went about taking pictures of their home and writing up the listing, with two bookings being made back to back in no time.
Alexi added: "We went to Costco and bought new pots, pans, utensils, a paper towel holder, and water to stock the fridge.
"We bought packs of sponges, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and blow dryers for the bathrooms. Anything we replaced found a new home in the trailer, which was nice because it already felt familiar when making the move."
The couple then moved all their belongings to the locked locked master bedroom and garage after they deep-cleaned the house for guests. The pair then vacated their home and moved into a travel trailer they had parked up on the driveway.
She added: “None of our guests seem to care that we're in the driveway, and a lot of them even invite us over to hang out with them on the back patio. I do all of my work in my car or at Starbucks. My husband cooks outside on his Blackstone."
In the very first year of renting, the couple were able to snag a decent $44,600 (€40,560). This means that thanks to the new income the couple's mortgage, which works out in euros at €2,437 per month, is always covered - with the couple earning up to €5,074 a month.
