Auraiya: A young couple allegedly committed suicide after consuming poison in Uttar Pradesh's Auraiya, officials said on Tuesday.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the couple were from two different villages. The incident was reported in Phaphunda police station area.
Identification of Deceased
The man has been identified as Vinod Yadav, 25, a resident of Kanchanpurva village. He was an auto driver. He fell in love with a girl named Asiya from his neighboring village Bhurepur.

Both these villages are located at a distance of one and a half kilometer. Both had different religions, which became an obstacle in their marriage and due to this they allegedly took the extreme step.
Both the families had raised objection to their relationship. They couple consumed poison on Monday night.
A passerby found the couple unconscious and informed the couple's family and the police.

Police on Suicide
The police immediately reached the spot and rushed the couple to the medical college in Chicholi. Both died during the treatment.
Police Station in-charge Jai Prakash Pal said that both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The police will initiate further action after receiving the complaint.
