New Delhi: Seven illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, including a couple, were deported to their original country as the drive against illegal immigration continued in Delhi, police said.
Bagaerghat district
The police said that that the couple, hailing from Bangladesh’s Bagaerghat district, was allegedly found to be living in Delhi since 2012.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, they were identified following an operation led by a team from the Safdarjung Enclave Police Station.

Separate Opereation
In a separate operation carried out on January 1, five individuals, identified as Sheikh Sofiul Alam Sabbir, Mohammad Takdirul Khan, Bijoyohmod Sahi, Habibur Rahman, and Mohammad Musa Miah Khan, were apprehended.

"These individuals had entered India last year under the guise of visiting the Bosnia Embassy to obtain work permits. However, their visas had long expired, rendering their stay illegal," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Ravi Kumar Singh.
All five were subsequently presented before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for deportation proceedings.
