Helen Skelton had to quickly ditch her interview with Lorraine Kelly as her house descended into chaos just as she started speaking to the host live on her ITV show. The Countryfile presenter was live on Lorraine's self-titled show on Monday morning (July 4) via video link to chat about her upcoming projects.
It comes months after the 38-year-old announced she has split from her husband Richie Myler. The couple had only just welcomed their third child together - a daughter named Elsie Kate.
"Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple," Helen wrote on social media back in April. "He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children." The emotional message was accompanied with two broken heart emojis.

Lorraine began the interview by addressing Helen's recent personal upheaval, saying: "Helen, it's so good to see you. You've had a bit of a rough time, I know. But the best way to get over stuff is to just get out there again - out there working." She then started to reply: "I think anybody in my position would say the same."
However, a dog could be heard loudly barking in the background. "I've got three small children and a very loud dog as you can hear," Helen added trying to take it in her stride. Turning to her pet pooch who was off camera, she shouted: "Stop it! They time it perfectly, don't they?!"
"It's fine," Lorraine replied before adding: "Kids and dogs and all that, your life is like that, it really is. And you're used to the chaos! So you're my kind of woman, you put on a brave face and you're back out doing the series..."
But clearly having enough of the noise, Helen got out of her chair as Lorraine was speaking and left briefly to sort out the dog.
When she returned she apologised as Lorraine asked if everything was alright. "It's uncharacteristically calm around here this morning because I'm working this week," she replied. "My mum has come to stay for the week, because she doesn't live near, so she's got the kids off to school.
"Monday morning when you've got to get the kids to school is just... It's the same drill every day but somehow it's always chaos! 'Get the socks on, get their shoes on, where's their school bags?!'" The mum-of-three added: "So mum's in control but she forgot to put her granny magic onto the dogs, sorry!"
