A Merseyside council has issued an update for those still waiting for their £150 rebate.
The £150 rebate is part of a £32m scheme confirmed by the Government in a bid to ease pressure on household living costs. Thousands of payments have already been handed out but many households are still yet to receive theirs.
In the latest update on July 6, Knowsley Council said the majority of those in Council Tax bands A to D should have received their payment, having completed 63,000. The payments were made by bank transfer to those who pay council tax via direct debit.

If you pay by another method, or are exempt from payment, letters from the Post Office have been issued to eligible households throughout June. These letters provide details of how to collect your rebate from any Post Office branch.
But on its website, the council confirmed there are a small number of rebates yet to be paid. The statement said: "In order to comply with the instructions provided by the Government, the council need to undertake further assurance checks to confirm eligibility, prior to payment. These remaining cases are being dealt with as a matter of urgency and payments will continue to be made in July."
