Listen here on your chosen podcast platform.

England footballers have been wearing a new piece of tech they hope could give them the edge at this year’s Euros: the Oura smart ring.

The device can monitor everything from sleep quality to stress levels and heart health, and the whole squad as well as England staff each have a ring to wear during Euro 2024.

Dom Smith, the Standard’s football reporter tells Tech & Science Daily how the England squad plan to use data from the rings, and why they could give England the edge at this summer’s tournament.

The party said it would target the regulation at the “handful of companies developing the most powerful AI models”.

Labour said it would also ban the creation of sexually explicit deep fakes, and pledged to create a new Regulatory Innovation Office which it said would help regulators across sectors keep up with rapidly evolving new technologies.

Tesla shareholders have approved Elon Musk's bumper pay package, of $56bn - equivalent to £44bn.

However, a Delaware court judge voided the pay package earlier this year, describing it as "unfathomable", and it’s thought that lawsuit could last months.

Noughties pop star Daniel Bedingfield reckons other musical artists should ‘embrace’ AI, when writing new songs.

The singer, best known for his hit 2001 track ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, says he’s been writing a drum ‘n’ bass album using AI which is better than any D&B he’s created in 20 years.

At an event called AI, Music And The Human Spirit, he said the technology can encapsulate the ‘soul’ of his music, but admitted that AI ‘is going to be brutal for a lot of people.’
