OK, there are A LOT of what ifs here.
But we’re going to play them out, because there are a lot of folks wondering: Will Taylor Swift finish her final show in Rio De Janeiro on Sunday and then fly to Kansas City on Monday to watch Travis Kelce play against his brother, Jason?
Bear with me. Here’s what we see as of Friday: We don’t know officially if Swift will get on a plane Sunday night or early Monday morning to go. But the issue is weather on Sunday in Rio — rain is in the forecast for Sunday, and if that rain comes with lightning, it’s possible the show gets postponed.
When could it be rescheduled for? If recent history is any indicator — remember, her Friday show in Buenos Aires got moved to Sunday — it might be the next night, when Kelce will be playing.
All of this could be moot. Maybe Swift wasn’t planning to go to the Kelce family reunion. Maybe she’ll do a rain show as long as there’s no lightning. Maybe if there is a postponement, it’d be on a Tuesday.
But it’s worth talking about!
Update: Swift’s Saturday show in Rio was postponed because of the weather. It’s still unclear if she’ll be able to make the game, but it seems significantly less likely now — especially if Monday is the makeup date.
