Once again, star Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown had his name arise in trade rumors for a certain star forward who was playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
While Kevin Durant was dealt to the Phoenix Suns (and out of the Eastern Conference, at that), is it fair to worry whether Brown hearing his name in Durant trade rumors is enough to cause a problem for the Celtics?
By all accounts, Brown has been a consummate professional regarding such trade rumbles in the past. But he has been playing at an All-NBA level many nights on a team with the best record in the league, and eventually, that sort of thing tends to get under one’s skin.
Unless, of course, it doesn’t — but the question of trade rumbles impacting the outlook of Brown is a question that was up for debate on a recent episode of the WEEI radio “Greg Hill” show.
