People in search of the popular Prime drink living near to a bulk retailer will need to move fast today (Friday). Costco has confirmed that it is selling the viral product by the crate.
Until now fans have had to rely on supermarkets having stock, which has often been limited to a few bottles per person. But Costco said customers would be able to grab two crates of 12 bottles each.
The drink, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, has gone viral, with limited stock levels meaning chaotic scenes at some shops - notably when Aldi put it on sale at the end of December - as buyers scramble to get some. To begin with Asda was the exclusive stockist, selling various flavours of the hydration drink for £2 a bottle.
Since then, Aldi has had some in as a Specialbuy and Spar has also sold it. But it continues to be hard to find, reports the M.E.N.
The bottles will be sold in branches of the American-owned membership-only wholesaler from today (Friday), with members able to pick up two crates each. One crate will cost £18.58 for 12 bottles, meaning each drink will cost £1.55 - 22% less than at Asda and a considerably cheaper than the £10-plus price tag some retailers have been setting.
Earlier this week a new app - Prime Tracker UK app - gained publicity, as it is being downloaded by fans as it alerts them to stock levels in their area. KSI himself has been speaking of how difficult it is to get hold of the drink and gave his support to the app, which costs 89p to download on the App Store and is coming to Android shortly.
Asda is continuing to get regular deliveries of the drink and it's likely that Aldi, where photos have emerged of Prime stock in warehouses, will soon be selling more of the bottles in stores.
