It’s Friday and everyone is ready for the weekend - but what makes Fridays even better? Freebies. And today (August 19) Costa customers can get a voucher for a free cold drink with a simple app hack.
Shoppers who download the Costa Club app and buy any ‘handcrafted or express’ drink today will be able to bag a voucher for a frappe, iced drink or coffee in a can, free of charge.
The deal is set to save customers around £2.80 - which is ideal if they were planning a Friday trip to the coffee chain already.

Posting the deal to social media, Costa said: “Scan the Costa Club app when you purchase any handcrafted or Express drink on Friday 19th August and receive a voucher for a FREE Frappé, iced drink or coffee in a can.”
After making your drinks purchase, the freebie will appear in the app and can then be redeemed between Saturday, August 20, and Thursday, August 25.
The offer is only available in Great British Costa stores, and can be used to get a free iced coffee, iced tea, fruit cooler, lemonade, frappe, bottled frappe or canned coffee.
However, it can’t be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discount, nor be redeemed at Costa Express self-service coffee machines or Proud to Serve Outlets, Click & Collect or via Delivery.
Other perks of the Costa app include a free drink on the house when you have purchased eight - or, if you have a reusable cup, you can get your freebie after buying four drinks. App users also get free cake on their birthday when they add their details to the app.
