Ireland is enjoying some glorious hot weather at the moment with the high temperatures forecast to stick around for the weekend.
On Tuesday, thermometers hit a sizzling 29.9C in Dundalk with the weather set to stay in the mid to high 20s for the next few days.
While the summer weather is enjoyable for those hitting the beaches or parks, the sweltering heat can become unbearable indoors - especially for those looking to get a good night's sleep.

For some, the only way to sleep during a hot spell is to use an electric fan but what does that mean for our electricity bill?
Using a fan overnight can quickly rack up the cost on your energy bills.
A typical 120w fan costs around 6c an hour to run on average so leaving the fan on between 10pm and 7am would cost you around 54c in energy costs .
Doing that for a whole week would cost you €3.78 which is about €1 more expensive than last summer, due to rising energy costs.
However, if you don't want to use a fan there are other ways to stay cool during the night.
Alternative methods include opening a bedroom window, sleeping without bedcovers, switching to a lower tog rated duvet, or freezing or filling a hot water bottle with ice water.
