The UK Government has confirmed the dates people can expect the financial support.
Thousands of households across Scotland and the rest of the UK are set to receive cost of living payments as inflation hit 10.1 per cent in July and energy bills will soar in October.
Last week, Ofgem confirmed the energy price cap will rise by 80 percent, pushing the average yearly direct debit bills up to £3549 - that's around £295 a month.

The UK Government has announced that the first cost of living payment of £326 will be issued to those who receive tax credit claimants between September 2-7. Meanwhile a payment of £150 will be paid on September 20 to those on disability allowance.
To be eligible for the £326 cost of living payment, you must have been entitled to, or later found to be entitled to, either a payment of tax credits or an annual award of at least £26 of tax credits between April 26 and May 25 this year.
DWP and HMRC are using a computer program to identify those eligible to receive a Cost of Living Payment. If you are not content with this you can contact the office that pays your benefit or tax credits to discuss it.
