Virgin Media has reassured customers price hikes will be as "low as possible" when implemented next month.
The telecommunications company previously announced price increases are being introduced for their broadband and TV services. Prices for mobile phone services will remain unaffected.
The increase is set at a rate of 2.4%. A spokesperson said the change was kept as low as possible in light of cost of living concerns.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: "While we understand that any price increase can be difficult for our customers, we want to assure you that we have kept the increase as low as possible at just 2.4% on average, across our entire base, which is vastly below the current rate of inflation of 8.5%."

The Internet provider stated it was working hard to meet the increased data consumption needs of its customers. RSVP reported that the price increase will result in an added €48 to existing customer bills.
