Ellie Leach has teased Faye Windass could land herself in prison amid her Coronation Street exit.
It has been confirmed that Ellie - who plays Faye on the ITV soap - is leaving her role on the Cobbles after 12 years, but actress Ellie has teased that Faye could land herself in prison amid a huge exit storyline for her character.
Faye and Emma caused the death of Ted, and whilst Emma - played by Alexandra Mardell - managed to escape to Australia with Ted's grandson, Faye was left in Weatherfield with the fear her partner Craig might tell the police what she did.
Next week on the ITV soap, as Faye struggles with her feelings for Jackson and a wish to be with her family and her love for her fiancé Craig, he is also struggling and debates telling the police about what Faye did.
Ellie has now teased during a chat with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning that Faye could end up in prison.
"It is really hard for her because she wants to do the right thing by everybody and I think that's always been the case for Faye and I think she always puts everybody else before herself. Now it's time for her to put her feelings at the forefront," she said.
Holly added: "We're trying to work out what will happen here. She could either disappear but there's also the secret. And in that clip there, where Craig's like, 'well I just feel like going down and telling the police', that's another way she could potentially go."
Speaking to The Mirror about her final episode, Ellie explained: "It was very, very emotional as obviously Faye is leaving the Street after 12 years, but it's me leaving the Street after 12 years as well. The saddest part is where she's in the taxi and we just see Craig on his own walking down the street and she's like stop the car, she gets out and says, 'I'll always love you, I always have and I always will.'"
"I think it was just so emotional and you do see there's two people here who do love each other, but there are so many other factors, love isn't always enough and I think you can see that in that last scene," she added.
