Corrie spoilers: Harvey makes dramatic offer to desperate Nick amid fears of secret plan

Coronation Street villain Harvey Gaskell is headed for a dramatic return on the ITV soap next week, as Sam finally gets his wish to meet him in prison.

Harvey (Will Mellor) is currently in prison for the murder of Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) in Coronation Street, but the Strictly Come Dancing star is now reprising his role as the villain for a brief stint.

Sam (Jude Riordan) has spent the past few weeks fighting for a chance to have a discussion with Harvey, who killed his mum Natasha in shocking scenes last year.

ITV spoilers have now revealed the aftermath of Harvey coming face to face with Sam, when he will make a shock offer to the grieving youngster.

The storyline kicks off next week when Nick and Leanne accompany Sam to the prison, shortly after they have admitted it’s time to tell Debbie that they can’t afford to buy the bistro.

Yet then Harvey gives Nick a piece of paper and tells him he’s got some cash and it’s his to spend on buying the bistro.

Later, Debbie approaches Nick and Leanne and tells them that she’s decided to accept their original offer for the bistro.

As Nick and Leanne celebrate the deal, Lynne’s builder reveals that the reason she pulled out is because the place is riddled with dry rot.

Leanne then confronts Debbie in the Rovers and in shocking scenes makes a lunge for her.

Harvey calls Nick from prison and tells him the offer still stands, will Nick make a deal with the devil?

Later in the week, Nick is torn after he quotes £20k to fix the dry rot and tells Leanne that they need to see if Sam will let them use the money he inherited from Natasha.

Sam asserts that he’s going to use the money his mum left him to pay his university fees.

However, Nick then lies to Leanne that he spoke to Natasha’s sister, Melissa, and she’s happy for them to use his inheritance, that she has signed the paperwork and the money should be in their account within hours, but is everything as it seems?

Will Mellor, who is still impressing fans on the BBC One Strictly ballroom dance floor, previously reflected on his anticipated return to the soap from prison.

He said: “I love playing Harvey, every character should have layers. I never wanted to be two dimensional, I wanted to show there's more that you don't know about him. He has an underbelly, it's just that nobody gets to see it.

“This is the first time you're going to see a few cracks appear and it's little Sam who's brought that out of him because he can't take the pressure and at some point the lid has got to blow off.

“Harvey's in his own pressure cooker in prison and he can't look weak. But it just gets too much for him, the memories of his mum, the memories of growing up, what he's done to this kid and it all spills over.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
