Corrie spoilers for next week: Toyah's murder confession and Gary's killer secret exposed

Coronation Street is lining up dramatic and show-changing twists on the ITV soap, in scenes to air next week

Toyah Battersby faces court over the recent car crash which claimed the life of her husband Imran Habeeb.

But when she drops a killer confession on two residents, it could lead to big trouble.

Elsewhere the game is finally up for Gary Windass, as Kelly Neelan edges closer to the truth about her dad's murder ahead of her exit.

As she finds evidence that her mother Laura was not the killer, she confronts Gary - but will she learn the truth?

Toyah's confession

A guilty Toyah Battersby will confess to deliberately killing Imran Habeeb (ITV)

A guilty Toyah Battersby will confess to deliberately killing Imran Habeeb on Coronation Street next week.

Toyah - played by Georgia Taylor - will leave her family reeling as she reveals to them she made a conscious decision to kill her now late husband Imran ( Charlie de Melo ) in horror scenes a few months back. She was accused by police of deliberately crashing the car she was driving, as she struggled with the news Imran had lied about his liaison with Abi and their custody battle.

Abi and Imran slept together in a single night of passion, and baby Alfie was conceived. Abi endured a lengthy court battle as she tried to get custody of her child, with Imran providing false evidence to the court to try and stop it happening.

During next week's episodes, Toyah's guilt is clearly eating at her as she prepares for her court case.

Abi offers Toyah to have Alfie for a few hours before her trial, but feeling extra emotional, Toyah leans over Alfie's pram and cries over how sad she is that she took his daddy away. Leanne walks in and hears Toyah confessing to Spider that she lied to the police.

She tells him how she crashed the car on purpose and intended to kill Imran. Naturally, both Spider and Leanne are left reeling by what they hear, but what will they do with Toyah’s confession - and is she in trouble?

Kelly learns the truth

Coronation Street’s Kelly Neelan is left devastated next week amid her exciting engagement news (ITV)

Coronation Street ’s Kelly Neelan is left devastated next week amid her exciting engagement news on the ITV soap, as she makes a shock discovery about her dad’s death.

Loan shark Rick, played by Greg Wood, terrorised the residents of Weatherfield during his short stint on the cobbles back in 2019.

Among those tormented by Rick was Gary, who he attempted to kill by luring him out to the woodland and claiming that he had Sarah, who was his girlfriend at the time.

Gary had discovered a grave, which Rick had dug in a plan to bury him after killing him, with a furious fight ensuing between the pair, with it later emerging that Gary had killed Rick.

in scenes that aired earlier this year, Kelly was left horrified when she learned her father's dead body had finally been discovered after three years.

In scenes set to air next Friday, Kelly demands answers from Gary on the ITV soap after Sharon decides to visit after news of Kelly’s engagement.

Gary is left worried when Sharon turns up to celebrate Kelly’s news – he then begs her not to ruin Kelly’s life by revealing he killed her dad.

Kelly receives a holdall of her mum’s things which she left in Spain and as she scrolls through a digital camera, she’s shocked to see the holiday dated as 17th June 2019 – the date her Dad was murdered.

Returning home Kelly shows Gary the photos, asserting she wants to know who really killed her dad. Is the game up for Gary?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
