Amy reports rape ordeal

Amy Barlow will report Aaron Sandford to the police next week, after he raped her in disturbing scenes earlier this month.

Despite intoxicated Amy clearly being out of it and not even being conscious, Aaron had sex with her before claiming they were as drunk as each other.

Amy has struggled since and has kept her ordeal to herself, but next week her loved ones begin to notice something is wrong.

When her cousin Adam gives her a friendly squeeze, she flinches - leading to her other cousin Simon asking her about her reaction. Amy ends up snapping at him, and it's spotted by her mother Tracy who later urges her to tell her what is going on.

Meanwhile, a text from Aaron to Amy encouraging her to move on is spotted by his girlfriend Summer and she demands answers. Aaron admits he slept with Amy but fails to tell Summer the whole truth, making it out as though he and Amy had a one-night stand.

As a furious Summer confronts her best friend, Amy bursts into tears as everything comes flooding back for her - as she tells Summer she's got it all wrong.

Amy then confesses to mum Tracy that she was raped by Aaron leaving her horrified, with Amy describing how she passed out drunk and Aaron took advantage of her.

Her father Steve McDonald soon learns the truth, and he and Tracy urge Amy to report Aaron to the police. With the support of her mother, Amy enters the police station and says she wants to report a rape.

Acid attack horror

Coronation Street is set to air disturbing scenes at the end of this month (ITV)

Coronation Street is set to air disturbing scenes at the end of this month on the ITV soap, when Daisy Midgeley is targeted by Justin Rutherford in an acid attack on her wedding day.

Daisy’s frightening stalker is set to return to Weatherfield on her big day to cruelly attack her in a sinister act of revenge on Monday, March 27.

Working alongside The Katie Piper Foundation and Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI), Coronation Street decided to tell this story to highlight the devastating impact and long lasting effects of such heinous attacks.

New ITV spoilers have confirmed that the horror occurs after Daisy has successfully pushed aside fears the wedding is cursed and is poised to leave The Rovers for the final time as Miss Midgeley.

Ryan Connor, who has stepped in as wedding chauffeur, goes behind the bar to get Daisy, but they are both horrified to find Justin lurking in the shadows in the pub.

Justin, holding a glass full of clear liquid, advances on Daisy as he throws acid at her.

Danger for Michael?

Michael Bailey could be put in grave danger next week (ITV)

Michael Bailey could be put in grave danger next week on the ITV soap as he challenges killer Stephen Reid.

ITV spoilers have revealed Michael is set to lock horns with the secret killer, as he demands answers from the suspicious businessman.

In scenes coming next week, Stephen lies to the factory staff, assuring them he’s got a meeting to finalise the American deal that afternoon.

However, Michael has consulted Stephen’s diary, prompting him to demand to know why there’s no mention of the meeting with the American firm.

In later scenes on the ITV soap, Michael deals Stephen a problem after their confrontation.

Michael shows Ronnie his new designs and explains how he hopes to persuade the American clients to get back on board.

Having spoken to Owen, Michael confronts Stephen, asking why he cancelled the American deal and then lied about it. How will Stephen respond? Could Michael now be in danger?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
