Corrie spoilers: First look at Gemma's garish wedding dress as she prepares to tie the knot

Gemma Winter has made no secret of how special she wants her wedding day to be on Coronation Street.

Despite the cost of living crisis hitting the family, Gemma - played by Dolly-Rose Campbell - is desperate to have the wedding of her dreams as she plans to finally walk down the aisle with her husband-to-be Chesney.

The pair's wedding is in stark contrast to that of Daisy and Daniel's, with the social media influencer keen to pull out all the stops to make sure they have the best day. No expense has been spared for their big day, but Justin is hell bent on ruining it.

Actress Dolly-Rose, meanwhile, has been seen filming scenes in a wedding dress shop as she looks for her dream gown. The rather garish looking outfit suits Gemma down to the ground and in a first look at the dress, it's everything we expected it to be.

In the snaps, Gemma models the outfit whilst her proud mum Bernie watches on, clearly joyful by her daughter's taste. The pair were seen taking breaks from filming, as they wrapped up in Coronation Street red coats to stay warm in the wind.

Peter Ash - who plays Gemma's sibling Paul on the ITV soap - was also seen on location.

It comes after Dolly-Rose teased some exciting scenes ahead for Gemma this year.

Opening up on Gemma's wish to get married and have her 'happy ever after' too, she said: "It is a little bit of watching everybody around her planning to get married and her feeling a bit of competition with the other people.

"She is thinking, 'Why is everyone else getting to have their happy ever after and I'm not?' Also, maybe a bit of weariness with her situation where every day is the same and she would just like something to look forward to, something for her that is not just about the kids. Something outside of just being a mum because her whole identity now is just 'mother of the quads.'"

Gemma is also struggling having so many children around the house.

"Having one child is a full-time job so having five in the house including Chesney's son Joseph is a lot to deal with, whilst also trying to hold down their jobs which they need for the money," she added.
