Corrie spoiler: Gary finds fortune hidden at murdered Rick's house before Kelly decision

Coronation Street will see Gary Windass’ perilous murder secret come closer to bubbling over as a shock discovery is made on the ITV soap.

Corrie fans saw Laura (Kel Allen) discover the truth about Rick Neelan’s death when Gary (Mikey North) confessed to killing him.

Initially, Laura was determined to go to the police and report Gary, but when she saw how happy her daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson) has been under Gary and Maria’s (Samia Longchambon) care, she decided to take the blame for the crime herself.

Laura’s character will tragically die after making the confession, amid a brutal cancer battle, and leaves daughter Kelly struggling to cope.

ITV spoilers have revealed that a funeral will finally be held for Rick on Coronation Street following his murder in 2019, with Kelly set to inherit everything from her dad, including the family home.

At the neglected house, Gary is faced with a photo of smiling Rick and packs up some belongings to bring back to Kelly.

As Gary, Maria and Kelly gather at Rick’s graveside, a mysterious man approaches and spits on the coffin, telling Kelly he hopes that Rick rots in hell.

Gary can’t control himself and punches the man – an incident that’s captured by a photographer lurking in the bushes.

The photo of the fight makes the pages of the Weatherfield Gazette, leaving Maria horrified when Beth shows her.

Meanwhile Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Paul (Peter Ash) find a holdall containing £17,000 under the floorboards at Rick’s house. Gary has to decide what he’s going to do with the money, so what will he do?

Poor Kelly has another funeral to prepare for after the tragic death of her mother.

As Kelly irons her dress for the sombre occasion, Gary and Maria dread the day ahead.

How will she cope with Laura’s funeral knowing that her mum died without Kelly giving her the chance to explain or say goodbye?

A weary Kelly returns from her mum’s funeral and Gary offers to bank the £17k for her, but a cagey Kelly makes out she’ll do it herself.

Elsewhere on the cobbles next week, Summer Spellman, played by Harriet Bibby, is left struggling to control her insulin levels.

In next week's instalment of Coronation Street, Summer's friend Amy Barlow, who has recently learnt of her eating disorder, confronts Summer at Victoria Gardens and points out it is putting her in serious danger.

Summer responds angrily and urges Amy to back off. Her worrying pattern of behaviour could then turn out to have dangerous consequences, when the police then discover her slumped on a bench next to the bottles.

Unaware of her diabetes and needs medical attention, they assume she’s drunk and take her to the police station.

Amy and Aadi tip off Craig that Summer's collapse may have been caused by her diabetes and he rushes to the cells at the police station, where he finds Summer in a diabetic coma.
