Corrie fans have shared their excitement about a unlikely connection between two unrelated characters in the soap.
Elaine Jones arrived in Weatherfield in 2020 as the ex wife of evil abuser Geoff Metcalfe and the birth mother of Tim Metcalfe.
And viewers have worked out her link with the legendary character Tracy Barlow, reports the Daily Star.

Elaine, played by Paula Wilcox, made her debut on the cobbles to join forces with Yasmeen Nazir to combat her ex-husband Geoff.
And there was a shock for Tim in the ITV soap when it was revealed that Elaine was his mum after he was told that she had died when he was a baby.
Elaine, who changed her name from Philippa Metcalfe after fleeing her abusive marriage to Geoff, has since grown close to her son and she recently returned to Weatherfield as he underwent a triple heart bypass.
Fans have pointed out that Elaine and Tracy are 'related' because Paula first appeared in the soap as Janice Langton back in 1969.
Janice was the sister of Tracy's late father Ray Langton, who passed away at Deirdre and Ken Barlow's wedding reception at the Rovers Return in 2005.
@waylo12 tweeted: "I can’t believe Tim's mum Elaine used to be Ray Langtons Sister in a previous life, so that means she’s Tracy’s Auntie #coronationstreet #corrie."
And @CavoloChe replied about more Corrie connections: "Bernie used to be in Corrie when she was a kid.
"She lived at number 11, where Eileen now lives.
"Obviously, she was someone else then. Evelyn also ran the Rovers, again, as someone else."
