Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan has hinted things get worse for Lydia as she continues to take her revenge on Adam.
The actress - who stars as Lydia in the ITV soap - has been at the centre of a horrifying storyline as she continues to stalk her former lover Adam (Sam Robertson), determined to break up his marriage to Sarah Barlow (Tina O'Brien).
And Rebecca has seemingly hinted that things are going to get even more explosive, as she opened up about the possible fan backlash she could face over the new scenes.
Admitting things could "kick off", Rebecca suggested there was more drama ahead, as spoilers reveal Lydia will get Adam arrested as her evil plan steps up a gear.
"It's always quite scary but it's part of it and it's great that they get so involved with it and they really take this storyline seriously," she explained to Digital Spy, "For that way, it's good but I'm not sure if I'm ready for it all to kick off!"
However, Rebecca is also hopeful that by the end of the storyline, people will understand why Lydia did what she did.
She added: "Towards the end of it, you can kind of see her reasoning for doing what she does.
"Yes, she might take things too far to get her point across, but I hope it comes across that you do feel for her and know she's doing this not because she's a bad person and wants to ruin lives for the sake of it."
Lydia is "broken" by what Adam has done - and her main worry is for Sarah.
"She's doing it because she has genuinely been broken and is potentially trying to save someone from going through what she went through," she shared.
"So hopefully at the end of it, we can see that she's not just a crazy person that is trying to ruin everyone's lives for the sake of it."
Lydia is still struggling to get over her past romance with Adam.
"In the past, when they were together back in their uni days, he treated her very badly and for her, it wasn't just a little fling and on to the next one – her relationship with Adam changed the course of her life and she's just really struggling to get over that," she said.
"The worst thing for her is that he hasn't admitted it or hasn't acknowledged it. He hasn't come to her and said 'Look, I'm sorry,' and I think that's all she would've needed, she would've been happy. If he'd have just acknowledged what had happened, what he had done and how badly he treated her in the past, none of this would've happened."
